Raja Mandyam, MD (India)

Raja Mandyam obtained membership in the Royal College of Physicians of London in 1974 and held a consultant post at Medway Hospital in Kent, England, where he specialized in intensive care. He has worked worldwide and has held consultant physician positions in England, India, Papua New Guinea, and Saudi Arabia. For more than ten years he served as Professor of Medicine (tenured) and  as a gastroenterologist (visiting) at the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), in Bangalore, India. Mandyam is interested in the adaptation of modern medicine into trans-cultural settings and in extending healthcare teaching at all levels. In 1998, he was elected to the fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of London. Mandyam has been on faculty at AOMA since 2000 as Director of Biomedical Sciences.
