Library Resources

The AOMA library is a specialty library focusing primarily on the field of acupuncture and Oriental medicine and select biomedical research. It provides library patrons with access to and use of the library collections and learning/information resources. Support is supplied in a number of ways including reference services, electronic databases, and circulation services.

Online Catalog

AOMA maintains library resources on both Oriental and Western medicine, including more than 9,000 Oriental Medical books, journals, videos, CDs and DVDs as well as a substantial collection of original Chinese language medical research books, journals DVDs. These resources in addition to the EBSCOHost database, which includes Alt HealthWatch and Medline full-text, provide students and faculty with access to the most current literature available.

Computers and Printing

The AOMA Library has eight computer workstations available to students during regular and break week hours. All computers have high speed internet access and print capability. Students may print from computer workstations for 10¢ per side printed (20¢ for double-sided prints).

Copy Machine

There is one copy machine available for student use in the library. Cost for copies is 10¢ per side copied (20¢ for a double sided copy). Library staff cannot take cash for copies made. Persons wanting to use this machine may purchase a copy card from AOMA Herbal Medicine in increments of $5.00 or $10.00 for use with this copy machine. Monies are automatically deducted from the card when the card is inserted to the machine and copies are made. The copy machine also includes a scanner function which is free to use.

Study Space

Students are welcome to use the Library as a place to study, write papers, or just take a break between classes. Tables and chairs are provided within the library for patron use.
