Dojo

Info

There are seven principal chakras in the body. Chakras are vortex points in our energetic body where energy is distributed to the body and from which it disperses back to the open energy field.

The third chakra is It is called “Manipura”, which means ‘city of jewels’ or ‘lustrous gem’ in Sanskrit.  It is also known as the solar plexus chakra, and is located at the base of the sternum.  The solar plexus chakra relates to the digestive system, solar plexus, liver, pancreas, adrenals and the mid thoracic spine.

The third chakra is referred to as the power center of our body.  It activates self confidence, courage, integrity and fortitude.  The 3rd chakra center supports the development of personal power, will, and governs personality and ego identity.  A balanced third chakra promotes action and assertion.  It encourages you to be energetic, dynamic and to thrive under pressure.  When it is aligned it supports a well balanced relationship between work and rest, while encouraging perseverance and dedication to overcoming obstacles in order to move towards one’s goals.

We will use the energy of creativity to stimulate and harmonize our solar plexus chakra through a guided inner journey of intuitive mandala painting, guided meditation practices and aromatherapy. No experience is necessary in painting or in chakra knowledge, and all supplies are provided.
