Silk Reeling Qi Gong w/ Andy Bishop

Ever wanted to work on your qi? Have a patient you've given a "Qigong or Taiji prescription" that needs guidance between treatments? Want to improve your acupuncture practice by grounding and strengthening your own qi? Need a space and some guidance to practice your Taiji?

Learn a simple standing meditation along with core-connecting movement techniques, taught in the Chen tradition of Taijiquan, that resemble the movements of drawing silk at a loom. The effect over time is to ground qi, open channels, and link the "Dantian" center with the limbs.

This class is open to community members, patients, students, staff, everybody!

This class does not meet during student break weeks.

Neoclassical Pulse Diagnosis: Acupuncture and Herbs with Will Morris

Eventbrite - Neoclassical Pulse Diagnosis: Acupuncture and Herbs

The 8 extraordinary vessel (8EV) pulse method is one of the most robust and profound methods of pulse diagnosis I have found. It can be used for literally any condition. Further the pulse method describes shape and can be used for record keeping.

The 6-division (6D) pulse system will be addressed as well. It makes a perfect fit with the methods of Master Dong as he taught and as his disciples, Drs. Tan, Young and Lee. While the 6D method works quickly and effectively for pain syndromes, it can also be used for concerns of internal medicine.

Both the 6D and 8EV methods have roots in the Han Dynasty (circa 100CE). One of the earliest discussions in located in chapter 10 of Wang Shu-he’s Pulse Classic.

The NeoCLassical method makes the entirety of the channel systems observable through the pulse. They can be organized according to the time frame in which they operate
