Mindfulness Exercises is a course designed to build new neuro-pathways in the brain, boost your immune system, reduce stress and free yourself from monkey mind. We strive for direct access and activation of the observer state beyond physical form.
By emphasizing specific posture and breathing techniques and applying focused intention we can regulate our bio-chemicals, survey our interior and enter into stillness with a sense of safety and trust. You will learn how to down regulate the sympathetic nervous system and up regulate the parasympathetic system. Through this 8 week course we teach you the tools that enable you to no longer be at the effect of your emotions. You will learn to navigate your interior and redirect how you occur in your reality.
We practice activation of the emotion/hormonal field, enabling direct access to heightened states of awareness and deeper states of rest and repose. You can develop skills to self direct your brains’ plasticity and growth by deliberately growing new neuro-networks of peace, love, joy and wisdom With daily practice, this expanded state becomes the embodied state of conscious awareness.
The eight weeks course meets once a week for 1 1/2 hours each time. The students commit to a 20 minute daily practice of the exercise they learn during the weekly meeting with the instructor. There are three sessions with slide presentations presenting the science behind Mindfulness Exercises. Daily journaling of what occurs during the 20 minute practice is also part of the program. If you choose to have the instructor become your personal trainer during the eight weeks, you will email your journal entries to her daily, and she will guide you throughout the 56 day period. You may also call the instructor any time you feel you need her support. The cost for the personal coaching is $280 for 56 days ($5 a day).
