Free Intro to Dancing from the Deep Within
Location: AOMA Mind-Body Center, 4701 West Gate Blvd. Bldg A
From: January 10, 2013 at 5:30pm to: 7:00pm
This class uses the focus of the breath to create an inner awareness of the body. In the first part the instructor leads the class in deep breathing combined with slow, fluid movement. The movement with breath is done on the floor, with music, and is designed for stretching the body while taking the mind/body to state of deep relaxation. The participant will also learn to feel and move the energies within the body, using the principle of "energy follows awareness". From this state of being grounded and in deep attunement with the body, combined with inspiring music and the desire for freedom of expression through the dance, one is truly able to be "Dancing from the Deep Within"! The progression of the class is a sure way to "bring the dancer to the dance", while encouraging the experience of combined clarity, groundedness, and ECSTACY! Please wear loose, comfortable clothing (no jeans please!) A fairly empty stomach is best. For best comfort bring your own blanket for the floor-work, although mats are provided.
