Shinjin is the practice of embodied manifestation of the harmonious expression of heart, mind, body and spirit in stillness and movement. We utilize the teachings and practice of Zazen- zen meditation, Alexander Technique--a western hands on work that teaches psychophysical organization, and Taiji and Qigong, which offers a quiet, subtle and slow movement meditation practice of journey of lightness in body and life.

About the instructor: Sumi Komo has a BA in Dance and Philosophy and an Interdisciplinary MA degree in Dance, Psychology and Sports Medicine. She trained as a teacher of the Alexander Technique with Patrick Macdonald, one of Mr. Alexander's first trained teachers. During her time in London, she began the study and practice of Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung under Gerda Geddes, who trained in China with the grandson of Yang Lu-Chan.  Ms. Komo has taught  the Long Yang Style of Tai Chi Chuan since 1988.
