This class is so much fun! Learn to use herbs safely and with maximum effectiveness for yourself or with clients. We will explore and make herbal preparations specifically for use by bodyworkers, estheticians, or other practitioners.

Not only will you learn about herbal bodycare but this is a hands on class where we will make things and take them home...........

Focus: Washes, Powders, Pastes, Steams, Scrubs, Spritzers, Masks, Toner, Oils, Salves, and Creams

Herbal Materia Medica for Topical Applications: Comfrey, Calendula Yarrow, Plantain, Arnica and regional herb information.

Additives: Clays, Honey, Salts, and Sugars, Waxes

Solvents: Water and Alcohol, Oil and Vinegar

Constitutional Focus: How to balance the skin based on Bodytype with an Intro to Ayurvedic Constitution and Bodycare

(6CE for LMTs) You do not have to be a LMT to take this.           

This class is taught by Nicole Telkes, Registered Herbalist(AHG) and Director of the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine.  Nicole has been in practice as a Herbalist since 1998 and as a Massage Therapist since 2003.  Nicole practices from a philosophy of Vitalism incorporating Ayurvedic and Physiomedicalist techniques and application into her topical preparations of many bioregional herbs.   She is an approved Continuing Ed Provider and formulates her own line of Herbal Medicine and Natural Bodycare and Spa preparations for clients, practitioners and some retail spaces.
