Each year, AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine celebrates the graduation of 30 - 45 students with commencement exercises held in Austin, TX. Students are welcomed into their profession by a prominent member of the acupuncture or Austin communities. The ceremony is open to family and friends. Graduates recognize the contributions of their faculty members and present the Michael Garcia Prendes Award for Herbal Excellence to a member of the AOMA student body. To complete the ceremony, students repeat the Healer’s Oath (below) to signify their initiation as practitioners of Chinese medicine.
