Qigong is the practice of distinctive movements for the cultivation and mastery of qi, or life-force energy. Qigong is similar to taiji and yoga. Widely practiced in Asia, qigong has recently become popular in the West as an approach to overall health and well-being. Qigong helps induce a relaxation response that may positively impact your body’s natural healing ability and increase your sense of balance in a seemingly stressful world.

Sheng Zhen Gong affirms the way my body knows and loves to flow. In the moment of practice, I experience mental, physical, and emotional balance. My mind quiets, my breath deepens, I sigh, tension dissolves, and I smile. I feel this practice has changed my constitution by deepening my patience and compassion with others. Living in such a busy, loud world, I am grateful for the silence Sheng Zhen has brought me. -Sarah B.
