GENERAL DESCRIPTION:    
Part-time, occasional position; occurs on practical exam dates (Sundays only):  May 31, 2015, July 19, 2015 and November 8, 2015. Acupuncture models are live models for the once-a-term 2nd year and exit practical exams (OSCE: objective structured clinical exams); Acupuncture models will have a number of treatment techniques and other skills demonstrated on them. These will included but are not limited to needle insertion and removal, point location stickers applied, cupping, gua sha, moxa, etc. Models may also be used to demonstrate TCM and biomedical physical assessments such as palpation, range of motion, blood pressure measurements, etc. Models do not speak during the examination session, but may be asked to answer examiner questions.

Institutional Effectiveness Assistant (Break Week ONLY)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Part-time, responsible for preparing and distributing key research surveys in support of AOMA's institutional effectiveness processes. It is approximately 40 hrs. for the break week and is between terms only. No additional hours required while classes are in session. Requires use of Microsoft Excel for data import and survey setup, mail-merges, etc.

Make-up Exam Proctor (FILLED)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Part-time, occasional position with a salary rate of $10/hr. Flexibility required as exams are scheduled sporadically throughout the term and break weeks. Work hours are 12:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the term and 10:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during break week. Exam proctors are tasked with supervising the completion of make-up exams, distribution of the correct exam, supervision during testing period, and collection of the exams at the end of the testing period to submit to the Registrar or Academic Coordinator. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Part-time position responsible for providing edits to comparative materia medica in support to the President. These hours can be worked on a flexible schedule during the supervisor's available schedule of Tuesday mornings and Thursday and Friday afternoons. This special temporary project is estimated to take 20 - 40 hours to complete and has a starting salary of $10/hr.

Research Coordinator (FILLED)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Part-time, flexible position (approximately 10 - 15 hours per week) relating to the design and implementation of clinical research studies, including set-up of projects in Research Electronic Data Capture system (REDCap), grant writing and literature review, prepares and submits Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications; implementation and oversight of clinical research studies. Student Services Assistant (FILLED)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Assists the Director of Student and Career Services with all aspects of student and career services at AOMA. It is approximately 10 hours per week. Some responsibilities include coordinating brown bag and career services seminars, contacting speakers, reserving and preparing rooms. Assists with China Study tour, maintains records, updates database and assists in preparing for annual commencement ceremony.

Teaching Assistant for Clinic Theater 2 (CT2 TA) (FILLED)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
 Part Time, 24 hours per term; 3 hours a week starting on the 5th week of the through the remainder of the term at the times scheduled for the course. Works closely with the instructor to prepare Clinic Theater 2 students for the clinical experience and assists in the pre-clinical training of the students under the direction of the instructor.

Youth Leader (FILLED)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Off-campus position with weekly estimated hours to be between 10 - 12 hours depending on student availability and date of hire. This position is a community service family literacy project who will work with the Youth Coordinator, other youth leaders, volunteers and the Education Manager to provide assistance for youth programs. S/He supervises children and is responsible for the implementation of youth programs. The Youth Leader position also serves as an assistant to the Youth Coordinator with a minimum starting salary of $12 per hour and possibly up to $14 per hour depending on qualifications.
