Dr. Morris has served full-time in the field since 1980. With licenses in California and Texas, he is also a member of the American Herbalist Guild. Morris earned two doctorates, a PhD focused in the area of Chinese pulse diagnosis and a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in pain management. He is passionate about personal transformation and natural medicine.

Morris’ philosophy is to understand the root or the source. This is accomplished in part by taking the pulse as the patient reports their experience, allowing him to view into how the body responds to the story and guiding him in the selection of treatment strategies. “I also see a high-order cosmology in the well-being of the patient and use astrological analysis to inform that when the patient so desires. Ultimately, I am a servant to the healing processes and transformations in the patient.”

Morris’ clinical specialty is in the area of pain management from a bio-psycho-social point of view. He also has experience treating allergies, autoimmune disorders, depression, anxiety and dermatological conditions. Morris has taught and published on all of these topics in national and international forums. He has been at AOMA since 2005.

Morris is an internationally renowned expert on Chinese pulse diagnosis, his book on the subject was published by China Medical Publishing House in 2010. He was awarded Acupuncturist of the Year in 2008 by the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Will has published more than 60 articles. He has served on editorial boards for the American Acupuncturist, the Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science and the Journal of Transformative Studies, and provides pre-publication assessment services for the medical publisher, Elsevier.

In his free time, Morris likes to play and record music from ambient contemplative electronic to classical Indian music on the bansuri (bamboo flute). He has practiced as a professional astrologer since 1977 and uses it in his personal development and medical practice.  He has 3 children and 1 grandchild whom he loves dearly.
