We are delighted to welcome you to AOMA's wonderful community! To help you best prepare for your studies in Chinese medicine, we have included some important information below.

After you receive your acceptance letter to AOMA, please complete and return your Intent to Study Form. This form indicates your intent to enroll and reserves your seat in the class.
Before the start of the term, you will receive your new student packet. This packet includes information about orientation and student services, as well as important information about registration. Please complete and return the required enrollment forms included with this packet.
After acceptance, we strongly encourage you to schedule preliminary advising meeting with our Financial Aid Office to review financial aid information, tuition costs, and budgeting tools. These meetings are scheduled through the Admissions Office and are intended to support your planning and preparation for classes. You must complete your FAFSA application no later than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.

New students register for classes in individual appointments with an academic advisor. During this appointment, an academic advisor will discuss course selection/ scheduling and then directly register you for courses. Registration appointments are scheduled directly through the Admissions Office.

Following the registration appointment, new students will receive confirmation of their financial aid package from AOMA's Financial Aid Office.
Depending on your age, you may be required by Texas state law to obtain certain vaccinations. Please visit this section of our website to learn more about immunization requirements for students.
To best prepare for classes at AOMA, it's highly encouraged that you become familiar with Student Manual, Financial Aid Manual, and Clinic Manual prior to New Student Orientation. These can be downloaded by visiting the Registrar's Page.
Each term, new students attend an orientation prior to beginning classes. This one-day event is a mix of mandatory training and fun activities that center around the concepts of reflecting, connecting, and preparing students for the graduate program. New students also attend a Library and Information Technology (IT) training session on the first day of classes to provide information about campus resources.

Orientation for Non-Degree Seeking Students- Introduction to Chinese Medicine Series:
An orientation for non-degree seeking students entering AOMA's Introduction to Chinese Medicine Series will coincide with the graduate student orientation. This orientation is designed to familiarize non-degree seeking students with the basics of student life at AOMA, including campus facilities, student manuals, and student services.
