Save the Date: Southwest Symposium - Sept. 21-23, 2018

A message from our president

My personal thanks to you for visiting AOMA’s website. We welcome you and hope you have an enriching experience as you browse and discover who we are, and how we work to incorporate integrity, compassion and service in achieving our mission and vision.

In 2018, AOMA enters the third year of its five-year strategic plan, a plan fully focused on realization of its mission to Transform Lives and Communities through Education, Patient Care, Leadership and Research in Chinese and other Integrative Medicines.

In our work, we are very much a mission-driven organization. 2016 and 2017 saw expansion of our efforts to explore affiliations with other educational organizations, strategically intended to enhance research capabilities, grant opportunities and fund raising. In 2018, we continue our strategic search for organizational relationships that will further our mission and we are very excited to explore these growth opportunities for AOMA.

2017 was a sentinel year in our development. We have been privileged by an increasing number of prospective students inquiring into our programs and touring our campus, with a 31% increase in school enrollees. We also had our ACAOM master’s degree programmatic site visit and received a full seven-year approval for the program. 2018 represents AOMA’s 25th Anniversary, which we will be celebrating at our annual Southwest Symposium, scheduled on our campus this fall, from September 21 through September 23. We hope you will join us as a friend of our community, helping us to realize the mission that drives each of our students, faculty and staff in their work at AOMA.

Betty Edmond, M.D.
