Intern Wanted in Acupuncture-Based Technology Start-Up in Austin, TX

Opportunity for a start-up intern in an acupuncture-based Austin technology start-up. Primary duties will include social media, blog content creation, and assisting the CEO is a variety of other capacities.

As a start-up, we need someone who can wear multiple hats, be detail oriented, good at writing and communication, reliable, and have a positive attitude.  More on the company.....

Conceivable, Inc. was founded in 2013 by CEO, Kirsten Hurder-Karchmer, who is an expert in wellness based fertility and pregnancy issues. Over the past 10 years, Kirsten has developed a proven program which dramatically improves the chance of conception and carrying a baby to full term. She has treated over 5000 couples through her wellness clinics in Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas. Infertility is a quiet burden facing 7 million couples each year. Due to the extraordinarily high cost of IVF treatments, only about 5% of these couples have any treatments available to them. The other 95% of couples literally have no available options to assist them in their goal to start a family. In addition, 25% or over 1 million pregnancies each year end in miscarriage. Kirsten's personalized wellness program combines diet, tinctures, stress reduction, and other components that address the main causes of infertility, both male and female, and miscarriages. This program is supported by well known, successful fertility doctors who refer their patients to her due to the results the program has had on improving outcomes. Conceivable is a new online company that builds on this success with a goal of bringing this incredible program to millions of couples in the US and around the world.

Our clinic in Las Cruces, New Mexico

We have a large, growing clinic in Downtown Las Cruces, NM, started in March 2012. Practice for Sale in Lexington, KY

I am the owner and an acupuncturist of Artemesia Acupuncture in beautiful Lexington, Kentucky who is looking for someone to purchase my business.  I have been in business for 16 years and have had one or two independent contractors and two part time office employees. I am looking for a dedicated, honest, and energetic person who is interested in either buying my practice outright  or with a transition time of one to three years.  This agreement would allow me to still work as an acupuncturist for Artemesia as an employee or partner for an agreed upon period of time. This practice has an interesting, dedicated, and diverse group of patients.

This is a unique opportunity to transition into an established acupuncture practice.  In the words of Sally Arent McCain, Lic. Ac., B.A.C., Dipl.Ac. From her book Build Your Own Thriving Heath Care Practice: A Step by Step Guide for Building and Maintaining A Successful practice: “As you begin your transition from student or practice situation where you were not self-governing, you focus is changing to become an independent professional in charge of your own practice. Having a private practice, however, does not mean working alone.  To have a successful private practice is to have a network of advisors, colleagues, consultants and friends to support you, guide you, provide legal and financial advice, sort through business ideas, brainstorm, offer feedback and help you stay balanced in your life.  A network allows you to share in others' wisdom, insights and experience.  Your network helps you grow your practice as well as your own personal development. A person in private practice needs to be supported and connected, developing a strong foundation for your practice.”

Past financial records over the years indicate Artemesia is a recession proof business.  Artemesia has a wonderful, capable, and supportive staff.  We have been voted the “Best Acupuncture Clinic in Lexington” for good reason.

Lexington, a  beautiful city of approximately 275,000 people is surrounded with some of the most lush and gorgeous horse farms in the world.  It also has a thriving arts scene that includes the Lexington Philharmonic, Woodsong's Old Time Radio Hour, Gallery Hops, and an Opera House that brings Off Broadway plays and musicals.  It is an intellectually progressive town being the home of the University of Kentucky and Transylvania University.   Did I mention basketball (men's and women's) an increasing number of biking and walking trails, and Raven Run Nature Sanctuary? Lexington is also close to the larger cities of Cincinnati and Louisville.  It is the horse capital of the world.

If you are interested, please look over the Artemesia Community Acupuncture and Wellness Center LLC website at: artemesiaweb.com.  I can be reached through email at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
