Degree Audit on Student Portal
Degree audit and online registration work hand in hand as online registration is completely dependent on degree audit requirements – didactic, clinical, and additional requirements, as well as the pre-requisite and co-requisite structure. It is recommended that all students periodically run their degree audit to ensure they are on track and to check that all information on their record correctly reflects their academic work.
You may run degree audit through your portal following this series of links. Degree audit is located under Administrative Services. To run the audit select Degree Audit Options – My Degree Audit. This will link the degree plan assigned to you and you must click on detail to run the audit.
For reference, degree audit is built from the Accelerated Plan as outlined in the catalog for pre-summer 11 students and the Full Time Program at a Glance outline for all summer 11 and after cohorts. Term by term requirements are built to include all courses, clinics, and additional requirements such as orientations and practical exams.

Upon running your degree audit, if you find that something looks amiss, please contact the registrar so that she can examine and clear up any issues.

Advising Each student should meet with an academic advisor as it offers the opportunity for planning coursework for the next term and provides time for clarification of degree requirements. To schedule appointments, contact an advisor directly or through the Academic Coordinator, Heidi Riemer.
Registration Packet Every student receives a registration packet via the email we have on record listing their assigned registration time, based on total accumulated hours earned. Please click here to view an example of the contents of the registration packet. If you have misplaced and need to request another copy, please email the registrar.
Planning Your Term Each student should review the schedules and academic calendar in planning what courses, clinics, and other program requirements they should be completing each term. Students should also be aware of prerequisites and co-requisites when planning their courses. This may be done by reviewing the course structure in the Program Catalog.
Audits Courses may be audited only after a student has successfully completed the course at AOMA or are being required to audit due to receiving transfer credit for a course. Students who wish to complete an audit that is not required due to transfer may register to audit during their registration time. This initial registration is made with the understanding that students needing the course to fulfill a program requirement have priority; i. e. a student may be dropped from an audit if there is not space.
Waitlists Waitlists are created via online registration demands and are managed by the registrar.
Registering by proxy If a student is unable to register in person, they may designate a proxy to register for them at the student’s assigned time.
Late registration Is accepted at any time after the end of the official registration period through the first week of the term.
Add/Drop Beginning the Wednesday of registration week and continuing for two weeks following registration, students may add and drop clinical internship rotations without penalty with the registrar. These dates are:
- Winter 2014: November 6 - 22
- Spring 2014: March 3 - 14 (begining on Monday)
During this free add/drop period, no fee is charged for changes made to a student’s schedule. Changes made after this period, are subject to fees as outlined in the Student Manual. All changes during the free period are processed directly through the registrar, while changes made after the free period must go through the finance office.
Tuition Payment is due by the end of the first week of the term. For questions, please contact the Finance Office.
Withdrawal If after registration, a student needs to withdraw from the upcoming term, the Withdraw request must be completed prior to being dropped from all registered coursework.
