This position will start with a 3-6 month probationary period. Part time pay is an hourly base with an additional per-patient commission. There is a possibility of opening this position to full-time status. Full time position is salaried with benefits.

  • Provide gentle, safe, effective acupuncture treatments
  • Build trust and rapport with patients
  • Manage patient care--answer emails, phone calls, etc.

01/09/2022: Acupuncturist Position in New Orleans, LA

New Year, New Opportunity!

A thriving practice on a beautiful, historic block in downtown New Orleans is seeking an additional licensed acupuncturist to supplement the owner's part-time schedule. Clinic includes 2 spacious, light-filled treatment rooms, a large lobby, and bathroom. A third room in the suite is occupied by a massage therapist running a separate business.

Days that are currently open for picking up shifts include Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. These days are ripe for you to build up your own bunch of "regulars" as the clinic is currently closed during those times. The owner/sole practitioner currently works Tuesday mornings, Wednesday, Thursday and every other Saturday.

The new associate will be hired as an independent contractor and paid per treatment. When running two rooms, the numbers can really add up! Despite several COVID variants and a major hurricane shutting down the city for weeks in 2021, just under 1000 treatments were performed as a part-time practitioner.

Start date is somewhat flexible in order to find the right fit and to allow time for licensing in Louisiana, but this position will need to be filled by May 2022.

Requirements:

  • Trustworthy, independent, self-starter who is comfortable running 2 rooms
  • A warm practitioner who prides themselves on being a good listener and is eager to foster professional, thoughtful relationships with their patients
  • In addition to being a good acupuncturist, practitioner should also be proficient in (or enthusiastic to re-learn) a variety of cupping styles, advising appropriate dietary recommendations, and electro-acupuncture. Herbal experience is a huge plus.
  • You must have your own professional liability/ malpractice insurance, renewed yearly
  • You will be expected to keep detailed records of the treatments you perform in a shared EMR system (Jane is used). This is also where credit cards are kept on file and payment is received at the end of treatment.
  • Licensed in Louisiana and by NCCAOM
  • Up-to-date on continuing education hours (none required by Louisiana, just the NCCAOM hours necessary for recertification)
  • 3 references that include a recent professor or other employer within the field of TCM
  • COVID-conscious practitioner who is vaccinated and will wear a mask in the clinic at all times (at least for the foreseeable future)

Additional Pluses:

  • While the practice is busy enough that marketing hasn't been necessary, a tech-savvy new associate with an interest in managing marketing accounts would be a plus
  • Recent graduates will be considered, but a few years of experience after graduation preferred
  • Herbal experience strongly preferred
  • Cosmetic acupuncture experience would be a big plus, as is interest in learning how to microneedle (currently offered at the clinic)

Please email jackie@hiddenrootacu.com with a resume and letter detailing why you'd be a good addition to Hidden Root Acupuncture, your current availability, 3 references (including a professor or employer in the TCM field) and any questions you may have.

Practice for Sale in Denver, Colorado

WEBSITE: zenredhead.wixsite.com

Acquire a steady, high-revenue niche (85% facial rejuvenation) practice / brand in Denver, Colorado’s beautiful and affluent Cherry Creek / Washington Park neighborhood, including an organic skincare line!

Step into this exceptional opportunity to run the practice of your dreams in one of the most gorgeous and prosperous, growing cities in the US with very lovely long-time patients! Acquire this health-conscious, educated, wealthy patient clientele passed on from a sole practitioner with almost 20 years’ experience in facial rejuvenation acupuncture and a total of 30 years in natural health.

You will attain training in her own specific and highly effective facial rejuvenation technique. No other practitioners in the country are trained in this style, and some patients travel from other states for her facial rejuvenation services. So, unlike many other practice buyouts, this patient clientele will be retained, because you will be the only practitioner trained in her technique!

Grossing over $97,000 in 2019, $81,000 in 2020 with COVID restrictions and $70,000 as of 3rd quarter (4th quarter is always busiest) for 2021, with an estimate of >$100,000 for 2021 with patients currently booked out as far as 2022. (October 2021 has already grossed 28% more profit than October 2020!)

No formal advertising since the first year the acupuncture practice opened almost 20 years ago. Most referrals are word of mouth or found via Google search. The clinic also gets referrals from other natural health practitioners as well as other acupuncturists in the area.

Current owner has been working ONLY 3 DAYS PER WEEK and has taken about 30 vacation days this year, so adding in more treatment days will increase profitability quite a bit. 650+ patients in updated database, averaging 50 treatments per month (facial rejuvenation treatments are 90 minutes and cost just under twice the amount of a regular 1 hour visit).

Website is naturally at the top of Google search for “facial acupuncture” for Denver with no fees ever paid for this ranking. As well, the Instagram page has over 5,000 followers and consistent conversion to profit from social media marketing.
