Excellent opportunity for an acupuncturist in Louisville Kentucky!

Thriving practice in a newly renovated clinic with 5 treatment rooms, an office space, a large welcoming waiting room with lots of natural light and a receptionist area. Office is located in a well known building with many wellness practitioners in it. Great opportunity to network with like-minded individuals.

Flexible schedule, you can work as little or as much as you want. We have a steady flow of new and established patients and can build your practice quickly. Compensation is based on a generous split arrangement. How much you make is dependent on how much you are willing to work and how much energy you put into establishing yourself in the community. It is recommended you be willing to commit to at least 3 days a week of work.

A relaxed environment, we generally see 2 patients an hour. We are a busy practice but we enjoy spending time with our patients to develop an individualized treatment plan with herbal, diet and lifestyle recommendations. We often incorporate body work and other healing modalities into each treatment.

We supply most of the patients, all marketing (website, business cards, etc.), acupuncture supplies (within reason), herb and supplement inventory, and furnished treatment rooms. We have a part-time receptionist three days a week, so you should be capable of answering the phone, calling your new patients to confirm their appointments, checking in and out your patients, and be competent in using our practice management software (for which we will provide training).

Waiting room is a great space for hosting workshops and classes if you have the interest. We currently offer a biannual cleanse, meditation workshops and a seasonal allergy class.

If you are a new practitioner or one that has been struggling with the business side of running a practice, this is an excellent opportunity for mentorship. I am happy to show you what I have done that has worked and encourage you to sit in on my new patient appointments to gain an understanding of how to set clear boundaries and expectations so that your patient retention is high. I am willing to provide one on one coaching if desired.

A little about Louisville, KY:

Louisville is a surprising little gem in the midwest. There are old and well-established neighborhoods with a lot of character in an urban environment, with an abundance of parks and green space. The city is affordable and brimming with art, music, culture and food - all with a hint of southerly charm. You will find friendly folks of all types. If you are looking for space and privacy, there is a wealth of rural options just outside the city in world class horse country. There is a thriving alternative health community, plenty of yoga studios and multiple Pho options. Life is good here! After living on the west coast for a decade, we found Louisville to be an easy transition and enjoy our lives here! But don’t take our word for it, Lonely Planet ranked Louisville #1 in the Top 10 US travel destinations for 2013 saying: “Could it be that the new Portland is in… Kentucky? Louisville has asserted itself as a lively, offbeat cultural mecca on the Ohio River.”

In 2015, Travel And Leisure ranked the Louisville #16 for most cultured cities in the US.

entrepreneur. Beautiful, serene clinic in charming Lawrence, KS (home to University of Kansas, 35

amazing place to work (and live) because of the rich opportunity for growing in vitality--clinically,

You are also reliable and accountable, passionate about Chinese medicine, professional, and have
mutual respect for the work we do together.

The NINJA trifecta you must possess to be considered for this job: compassion, confidence and
coachability. (aka a genuine willingness to learn and work together!).

AND if you have strong acupuncture and herbal skills, professionalism, and communication skills, you will
be at the top of our list! However, we can work with you to get there, especially if you bring amazing
customer service to the table.

In order to be considered for this job, you must bring commitment, presence and passion to our team.

If you hate flakiness, ego-driven medicine, and drama, all the better, you’ll be a great addition to our team!

One more thing--we are serious about our mission and business, so please DO NOT APPLY if:

  • You want to start your own practice / You think that being an employee means being less-than, or is just temporary until you can go out on your own
  • You are not deeply committed to patient-centered care and authentic, sustainable growth
  • You have something to prove with your vast knowledge of skills--our biggest skill is in meeting the patient where they are at, which means listening, treating appropriately and compassionately.
  • You cannot work at least one weekend day and 2 evenings a week, and are not willing to participate in ongoing marketing events.

If you are still reading and think you would be a good fit, please send me a cover letter explaining why you
