AOMA recognizes that life balances includes both intellectual and personal growth during the course of a student’s development. The health of the whole person constitutes a significant foundation for successful professional development and preparation for eventual acupuncture and Chinese medical practice. In support of a healthy life balance in its student community, AOMA offers a wide variety of opportunities for learning beyond classroom and clinic. Social events like Chinese New Year, the annual Halloween party, and fun, healthy off-campus pursuits, like kayaking on Lady Bird Lake, help students balance their challenging academic pursuits with restorative extra-curricular activity.
