Dermatology In Chinese Medicine (A Clinical Perspective)
Saturday, Sunday and a post-conference Monday, Feb. 15 - 17, 2014
Skin disorders in their various forms are amongst the most common diseases suffered by mankind, accounting for no less than 20% of all cases visiting outpatients departments in the Western world. Chinese medicine has a very significant and important role to play in treating the widest range of such conditions, particularly the common chronic cases that prove so difficult to manage satisfactorily in biomedicine.
This three-day seminar will in a very practical way introduce the fundamentals of treating the most prevalent diseases seen in clinic, with emphasis throughout on clinically relevant and pragmatic information required to achieve success in practice. Hundreds of slides from Mazin’s own practice will be utilized to illustrate in detail not only the diagnoses of individual skin diseases, but also the differentiation of pattern types according to Chinese medicine. Many case examples with before and after slides will be presented and will act as the basis of discussions on the specifics of treatment protocols, with clear, practical and detailed instruction on adapting effective formulae to the vagaries of clinical reality.
